- Under your bed

- Curtain rods
- Knobs on all your dressers
- That tiny space between your toilet and the wall
- Your bed frame
- All your kitchen drawers
- The small area between your sinks and the wall
- Your shower hot/cold knobs
- Floor of your pantry
- Bathroom fans
- The tops of your smoke detectors
- Your thermostat
- All the shelves in your medicine cabinet
- The buttons on your alarm clock (again, use a Q-tip dipped in vinegar)
- All your door knobs

- The tops of your washer and dryer
- The rubber seal of your refrigerator
- All the hardware on your kitchen cabinets

- Wash your plants off with water (the leaves collect dust and can inhibit growth)
- Every nick-knack in existence in your home; the tops, sides, and bottoms
- All light fixtures and light bulbs (even if fully encased)
- Wash or vacuum all your curtains (following specific care instructions)

- Your computer speakers
- The wires behind your television and computer (major dust collecting areas)
- Your keyboard (with compressed air and that all-too-popular Q-tip in vinegar)
- The inside of your fireplace (even if it is electric or gas it still needs dusted)
- All door frames
- The buttons on your dishwasher
- The crumb trap in the toaster (don't just empty it, soap it up too)
- Underneath your television
- All bookshelves

- The little holes in the door frames where the doors latch into
- Across your whole ceiling (it's amazing how many cobwebs can adhere to a flat surface)
- Your shower head (soak in a plastic baggy filled with baking soda and vinegar for 5 to 10 minutes)
- Your dog's collar (really, when was the last time you washed that?)
- The tray that holds your silverware
- Plant stands (indoors and outdoors)
- The cake pan you dirtied making that celebratory cake you were supposed to be eating while cleaning the 50 things on this list

Have Your Cake and Clean Too
In celebration of my 50th post published yesterday, I would like to
offer you a list of 50 things you should not forget to clean during your
Spring Cleaning this year. This list is mainly composed of areas of
the home that are often overlooked. Bear in mind while you are cleaning
these 50 things, you are celebrating a 50th post, so go ahead and have
some cake while you work!
