You are the heart and soul of everything I make, from breads to pastas to pizzas.
You have many brothers and sisters, each of you individuals, varying in size, quality, and abilities. I highly recommend several of your siblings to everyone I know. I hope that others are able to receive the same joy from your brothers and sisters that I have received from you.
In June of this year, we will celebrate our seventh anniversary together. Through those seven years, we have had some rough times where we did not see each other very often and you spent days and weeks hidden from me in a dark and lonely cupboard, but I hope that those times are past us now for I always keep you at the forefront of the cupboard so I am able to access you easier than any other appliance.
Thank you dearly for your many years of faithful mixing, kneading, and baking.
Without you, I would have wasted many hours in the kitchen and suffered a serious case of tennis elbow making pastas and doughs by hand. You are much more to me than just a white box. You are my kitchen companion. You are my friend in knead.
Let me close this letter by thanking you for yet another delicious pizza dough for dinner tonight and letting you know how much I look forward to baking some moist, warm bread with you tomorrow.
With all of my heart,
TyKes Mom
(though you probably know me better as the tall woman with the 2 pound bag of yeast)
