Tangy Honey Mustard Sauce

So often I find it is the sauce that makes the dish.  Where would Eggs Benedict be without Hollandaise sauce?  What about nachos without cheese sauce?  Or a sundae without the chocolate sauce?

One of my favorite and more versatile sauces is Honey Mustard Sauce.  It can be used for simple everyday menu items like salads and sandwiches or you can add it to your main dinner course to spice things up.  My personal favorite is to drizzle it over salmon cakes.  Talk about ambrosial!

Honey Mustard Sauce
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 T. yellow mustard
  • 1 T. Dijon mustard
  • 2 T. honey
  • 1/2 t. lemon juice
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.  You may use it immediately, but for the best flavor, cover and refrigerate overnight.
