Crock Pot Spaghetti

Homemade Spaghetti Has Never Been Easier

This recipe is wonderful because it is so simple (and, of course, cheap).  The following recipe makes enough for my family to eat for two meals (so, about 6 to 8 servings).

Crock Pot Spaghetti
  • 1 lb. hamburger, browned and drained (optional)
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 2 t. garlic powder)
  • 2 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes, un-drained
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 2 t. Italian Seasoning (oregano, basil, parsley)
  • 1 c. mushrooms (canned or fresh)
  • 1 c. chicken bouillon
  • 1 (16 oz) package whole wheat spaghetti
Combine all ingredients (except spaghetti) in a crock pot and stir well.  Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours (or high for 3 to 5 hours).
An hour before serving, turn on high heat and stir in dry spaghetti.  Once spaghetti is soft, serve.
