Celebrate Your Birth Everyday

So today is my birthday. I don't feel it all too necessary to discuss precise numbers ;-) but let's just say I am beginning to reach ages that I clearly remember my mother being when I was a child and thinking That's old! Many would say I am still young, and I certainly would agree that I still have so much to learn in my life but the one thing that I have all ready learned through my years of experience is that life really does get better and better with each passing year.

I think back to those days when I would almost daily hear that I should cherish my school years because they would be the best years of my life. I often joke that those people must have become hermits after they graduated since I have yet to see any evidence that they were right.

Today, though both of my children are sick, I am feeling under the weather as well, my living room is a construction zone that has yet to be completed because our truck's alternator died, causing myself and the children to be stuck at home all day, and the weather is rainy and dreary, I cannot help but sit in awe of how my life has turned out. Every birthday makes me anxious for the next. Each year that goes by brings more and more amazing joys to my life.

My birthday truly becomes a day to celebrate the births of everyone else that make my life worth living. Each person that makes me thrilled to have another birthday of my own.

Each birthday I celebrate these gifts. Each birthday I am more and more grateful to have received them. Each birthday I realize I have spent another year growing and perfecting myself just for these three. Each year they make me remember why I was born at all. Each year they make my birthday worth celebrating.

Happy birthday to all the amazing people out there! Though today may not be your birthday, your birth is still worth celebrating each day because you bring joy to so many people around you!
