Friday was a rainy, dreary day in these parts which made for an excellent day to stay home and focus on some more fall cleaning. With an easy-going day and a simple crockpot dinner, I had some free time for a little extra baking.
Here’s what we ate yesterday:
Breakfast: Peanut butter toast
Snack: Sliced apples and stove-top popcorn
Lunch: Lunchmeat sandwiches/leftovers
Snack: Leftover pancakes I found deep within the freezer
Dinner: New England-Style Baked Beans with carrots
Snack: Homemade molasses cookies
Beverages throughout the day included coffee (for my husband and I), herbal tea for myself, milk and ample amounts of water.
The molasses cookies were a last minute treat that just fit the weather perfectly and rewarded my kids for all their help with the fall cleaning (still a little more to go though). Sometimes you just have to treat yourselves and homemade, preservative-free goodies are the healthiest and most frugal way to do just that!
This is the last day for the link-up!
Please share how you eat! Keep track of how you and your family eat for the day on your blog and link-up below. Have standard menu plans and yummy recipes? Feel free to share those too! The link-up will be open all week long so link-up as many times as you would like. I can’t wait to see how you eat!
